Nintendo Reveal New Yoshi And Kirby Games Are Planned For 2018

As part of their E3 coverage, Nintendo have given us a first look at forthcoming Switch titles staring Yoshi and Kirby.

It appears Kirby is going back to his simple platforming roots by way of controls, rather than anything we’ve seen in the recent outings, although there’s seemingly (upto) 4 player co-op and the ability to combine powers which should keep things interesting, without the need for any other gimmicks.

Yoshi’s next outing looks equally smart, with an arts and crafts aesthetic meaning construction paper and carboard are taking the place of Wooly World’s yarn filled environments. The title’s hook being that each level will have “two sides” which you can Switch between.

Both Yoshi and Kirby are scheduled for a 2018 release on Nintendo Switch.
