I’m not going to pretend I know much about football – but I do enjoy a game of FIFA every now and then, and despite not actively following the sport, I also understand that Cristiano Ronaldo is quite good at it. So good, in fact, that he’s been revealed as FIFA 18’s cover star.
Alongside the standard edition of the annualised franchise, EA are releasing a Ronaldo Edition of the game, which will grant players a digital version of the striker in the Ultimate Team game mode. There will also be an Icon Edition of the game coming to Sony and Microsoft platforms – which seemingly replaces the previously Xbox exclusive Legends Edition.
Heading into E3, we can expect further FIFA 18 details at the EA Play presser on June 10th, although I’d be surprised if they mention the cut-down Nintendo Switch version of the game on stage, since we already know that wont be running on the Frostbite Engine, or include the Journey story mode.
