United Front Games, the Canadian based developer best known for the open-world adventure game Sleeping Dogs, have seemingly closed their doors after nine years.
While no formal announcement has been made, Jen Timms, a producer at the studio, posted the following tweet.
United Front Games latest project, the early-access team battler Smash+Grab, has also been withdrawn from sale on Steam, less than 8 weeks on from its reveal.
After bringing a “Definitive Edition” of Sleeping Dogs to PS4 and Xbox One in 2014 fans had hoped a sequel might be in the works, however in December 2015 UFG canned Triad Wars, a multiplayer spin-off, mid development.
Apart from Sleeping Dogs and Smash+Grab, United Front Games also made the vastly underplayed ModNation Racers & LittleBigPlanet Karting for PS3, as well as collaborating on various other titles.
