PS4 “Exclusive” Assassin’s Creed And Watch Dogs DLC May Still Appear On Xbox

Exclusives are a big deal moving into the next generation, and thankfully for PlayStation, the company have managed to bag themselves a pretty notable incentive for anyone looking to pick up one of Ubisoft’s multiplatform blockbusters with their new hardware in 2014.

Earlier this year Sony were pleased to announce they had secured “60 minutes of exclusive content” for both Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – a definite plus point – although it’s since been revealed this exclusivity comes with an expiration date, and could potentially find its way to other platforms six months after release.

Eagle-eyed punters have spotted the disclaimer in Sony’s latest PlayStation 4 video, which declares the console “the best place to play”, and can be seen in full below:

Of course, Ubisoft may well choose not to release the content on other platforms later at all. As far I’m aware, the previous Ubisoft exclusive DLC content – such as that found in Assassin’s Creed 2 or 3, and the latest Far Cry game – remains just that, exclusive, having never been released on other platforms, despite presumably being secured under a similar deal.
