Nintendo have announced two new Wii U Family bundles for the Japanese market. Both bundles pack a 32GB Premium Wii U console – in black or white – alongside pre-installed games and accessories, the details of which are as follows:
Bundle A will retail at ¥32,800 (approximately £208) and includes the Wii U, New Super Mario Bros. U, Wii Party U and 30 days access to Nintendo’s forthcoming Karaoke F2P title, Wii Karaoke U. It will also include a Wii Sensor Bar and Wii Remote Plus.
Bundle B retails at ¥34,800, or £221, and includes everything in the above package, as well as the recently detailed Wii Fit U and Wii Fit Meter. Curiously this bundle doesn’t include a Wii Balance Board – although this is presumably to keep the package cost ‘family friendly’.
The new Wii U family bundles are scheduled for release in Japan on October 31st, and whilst neither have been officially announced for the UK, it’s a strong possibility we may see them in shops ready for Christmas.
At the current exchange rate, both packs offer remarkable value for money, but would a new, lower-priced yet content-rich Wii U deal convince any of you to finally pick one up alongside your PS4 or Xbox One pre-orders?
