An image advertising Sony’s upcoming pre-IFA press event has popped up online, and appears to show a slim smartphone, believed to be the much-rumoured Xperia i1 Honami handset. Alleged specs for the Xperia i1 Honami had already leaked – with the Android smartphone apparently packing a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM.
The Honami is also tipped to house a 20.7-Megapixel Exmor RS sensor rear-facing camera, and a 5″ Full HD screen.
This combination of processing power and HD display is leaning towards the Honami becoming Sony’s new new flagship media handset – that will take, and display, not only stunning pictures, but also have the capability to shoot 4K video.
We can expect a finalised spec-sheet and reveal of Sony’s handset on September 4th, at IFA 2013.
